We walk on a surface worth
More than all the dough
One could cling to
Or tack any arbitrary
monetary valuation to

Forget what the Man's told you
Credit scores are shackles
Constrictive hoodoo on the soul

Let go of your father's dream
And run away with me
Put on a tutu
Grab some gumboots
And let's head outside to celebrate

Watch the grass sway
Around blanched
Excavated roots
Pay homage to a fallen giant

Black gold is the Earth
Some till and rake
Others pollute and ignore

From the Northwest territories
To Bafoussam the journey stretches

Rich and vibrant
Teeming with echoes of the Divine
From the leggiest crawler
To the squishiest invertebrate

Let go of your father's dream
And let us reclaim our birthright
As heirs of the pentacles bestowed
Upon ungrateful children bent on
Destruction, possession and control

Angry cries from sad, folorn souls
Who have forgotten how to fool
An electrifying dive into oblivion

Children from the day we are born
Till the day we die, wizened and gray...
