I spent the day digging and rolling through black earth rich with bugs and fat worms, small worms. I'm helping with weeding and tilling out a garden at a friend's house. Planted some peas last week, nudged and replanted them today. I split some worms and let them go. I can't handle the feeling of bugs crawling on my skin. It's an intolerable tickle. But I am making myself hold these things because I find them fascinating. I want to get a magnifying glass and spent an afternoon with my nose to the ground, examining the critters I dig out.
